Prior to joining Altamar, Jose Mar\u00eda worked at the Financial Engineering Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Boston) modeling biotech investment risk and financing solutions (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/nbt.2374\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/nbt.2374<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jose Mar\u00eda\u00b4s &nbsp;background as a financial economist is rich and diverse. He has been General Director of the Treasury at the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness and concurrently a Board member at both the European Investment Bank and CESCE (Spain\u00b4s Export Credit Agency). He also worked as a consultant in the Securities Markets, Financial and Private Sector Development Department at the World Bank and as Managing Director&nbsp;at the Debt Capital Markets business for Cr\u00e9dit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (London).
